In an interesting collaboration, Puma has teamed up with Tokyo retailer mita sneakers on the Puma Suede low top sneaker. Rather than just going with some new colors, graphics or materials, mita sneakers really created a new version of the iconic sneaker, with the cycler at mind.

The Puma Suede Cycle comes in two colorways, featuring a lace flap, the classic multicolor stripe on the back that is very present in all classic cycling gear, and the highlight of the sneakers is for sure the integrated back light for more safety on the bike. The outcome is a clean and functional sneaker, that will without any doubt find its fans.

The Dream Machine Bike from Jonny Mole Design

Having just won first prize in the bicycle section of the Taipei D&I awards, The Dream Machine combines conceptual design with contemporary, high end construction in a very rideable machine.

The bicycle is the product of Italian design studio Jonny Mole, who set out to produce a bike that, according to lead designer Jonny Moletta, was “perhaps futuristic, but feasible and useful.” The frame uses a single tube, that runs all the way from the headset/stem to the rear wheel to increase stiffness and improve aerodynamics.

Raekwon x Affinity Cycles Present 3 Custom Charity Bikes for Ride4NY

Brooklyns Affinity Cylces and Staten Island’s Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan announce Ride4NY a non-for-profit group formed to raise funds, awareness and rebuilding strategies for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

In conjunction with Ride4NY, Affinity and Raekwon have created 3 custom project bicycles to be auctioned off beginning this Monday December 10th on ebay. In typical Wu-Tang Black and Yellow, these bikes feature some of New York Cities hardest hit areas, Staten Island,Rockaway, Red Hook and Coney Island.

To help launch Ride4NY, Raekwon will be hosting a benefit concert this Thursday December 13th in Brooklyn. Expect to see some of NYC finest hip-hop artists and guest appearances, all proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Zone A in Staten Island.

Ride4NY’s first event is this Saturday December 15th at 8am on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
